Title: Convert Orbitrap ".RAW" data files to other type of files
Post by: thaerbarri on December 07, 2012, 07:36:57 AM
Hi,

We have started to work with LTQ Orbitrap Velos Pro with Xcalibur software. We want to convert the ".RAW" data files to ".netCDF" files, but we could not find out how to do that in the whole system.

We would appreciate any advices or suggestions on how to do this.

Regards

Hi Thaer ;)

netCDF is pretty much obsolete. mzXML, mzData or mzML are better supported now.

msconvert from Proteowizard (proteowizard.sourceforge.net) is the newest and only program that is updated so that is your best bet. Get the 32 bit version if you want a GUI.

Cheers,
Jan.

Hi Jan,

First, the proverb saying "the world is small" is true as realized now...:-).

Second, I do not know why I did not ask your lab before posting. I thought that you are not familiar with the Orbitrap system. This has proved I am wrong here.

Thank you so much for the info.
