Title: mzXML above 2GB
Post by: sysun2006 on September 18, 2013, 03:55:12 AM
Hi all,

My waters' raw data were converted to mzXML with the size above 2.0GB (use masswolf). Then I've tried to load it on XCMS, but got error messages as :Error: cannot allocate vector of size 1.5 Gb.

I just wondered how large size XCMS can handle. What should I do to load it?

Many thanks,
Song

Song,

Have a look at
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=146 (http://www.metabolomics-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=146)
It's a common problem. I'll just say that it's not really a limit of xcms but of your PC's memory and OS. Also if you have file sizes that large you proabably have profile data. You will want to convert the data to centroid first.

Cheers,

Paul
