Title: dried blood spots
Post by: fadista on September 01, 2015, 12:57:18 AM
Hi,

I would like to know if anyone in this forum has worked with dried blood spots preparations for metabolomics profiling. If yes, could you share your experiences and protocol used. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
João

Hi João,

Not directly but when I asked from those who have done it, seems simple enough. You take small block, wet the sample using water and then you can do chloroform/Methanol or acetonitrile extraction (same as tissue or cell). Short term stable as room temperature but you have some degradation overlong term storage at room temperature.
