Feature score

Hello,

The XCMS online results table contains a column named "feature score" which is the COMBSUM of the p-value and maxint. Could you explain what this means? How is it calculated?

Thanks,
Andrew

It was an experimental score to rank unidentified features using measures of "importance" like p-value and intensity, calculated using the combined ranks of p-value and intensity.
It did not work out very well and is actually going to be removed soon - we'll hopefully find something better.

To prioritize features for ID I would recommend using the filter tool (magnifying glass, top left corner) and filtering the result table using multiple criteria, e.g. p-value < 0.001 AND fold change > 2  AND  maxInt  > 2000.

fscore has been removed now.

Instead, other columns have been added: up/downregulation (UP/DOWN) and log2fold (log 2 fold change, signed).
