Signal extraction by XCMS

Hi everyone,

I have a question because there is something I do not understand with XCMS.

I have 4 distinct groups. When I'm running XCMS with only files of one group, I get an array of about 1900 lines. Yet when I run XCMS with files of the 4 groups I get a matrix that has only 75 lines.

Does anyone would be able to explain this to me?
